A NEW SINGLE IN TOULOUSE COLORS FOR FRANCIS CABREL
Francis Cabrel appeared on the show Quotidien on October 6 to present his latest single, Un piece de Sicre, in homage to a Toulouse personality. He was in the company of his daughter Aurélie, who produced this piece. Despite the release of his new single, Cabrel surprised by announcing that he had no album in preparation and did not feel inspired to create one. “No, no, I couldn’t wait to see it come out. The song “Un piece de Sicre” is a tribute to Claude Sicre, an important Toulouse personality for Cabrel and the inhabitants of the south of France. “Claude Sicre is an extremely important Toulouse character for us, people of the south. I wanted to pay homage to this city.”
The single was released on a small label, but Cabrel confirmed that no album was in the works. “I can’t say that, but maybe one more, if inspiration returns. Maybe one, it’s still a lot of work”
