Ingredients
For the Fries
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into thick fries
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Toppings
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheeses like Monterey Jack and mozzarella)
6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
For the Ranch Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk (adjust for desired consistency)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried dill
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Step 1: Prepare the Fries
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Toss the potato slices with vegetable oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air fry for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
Step 2: Add the Toppings
Transfer the hot fries to a serving dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the fries.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top. Return to the oven or air fryer for 3-5 minutes to melt the cheese.
Step 3: Make the Ranch Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning and consistency as needed.
Chill the ranch sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Step 4: Serve
Drizzle the ranch sauce over the bacon cheese fries or serve it on the side for dipping.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
