How does it work?

The use of the dowsing rod, sometimes perceived as a ritual, followed a precise protocol:

  1. Precise positioning  : The branch was held firmly by both ends, with the palms facing the sky.
  2. Tilt to the ground  : The branch junction point was oriented at an angle of approximately  45 degrees .
  3. Methodical Movement  : The user walked slowly, observing any movement or vibration of the staff, which was believed to signal an underground water source.

Myth or reality?

While this method continues to intrigue, it remains  controversial . No scientific evidence has validated the perception of vibrations by dowsers. Yet, its claimed effectiveness and the transmission of this practice through the ages make it a  historical curiosity .

A forgotten tradition

Today, dowsing has almost fallen into disuse, replaced by modern technologies such as  geophysics  and power-assisted drilling. However, this  ancient staff  remains a symbol of the ingenious methods used by our ancestors to overcome the challenges of their time.
