Orchids: The foolproof trick to make them bloom non-stop and be more lush than ever

Introduction:
Orchids are one of the most admired plants for their exotic beauty, but also one of the most misunderstood when it comes to care. Many gardening enthusiasts are frustrated when their orchids don't bloom frequently or wilt prematurely. However, there is a little-known but highly effective trick that can completely transform the appearance of your orchids, making them bloom constantly, with stronger leaves and healthier roots.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana peel

  • 1 liter of water

  • 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon (optional, as a natural antifungal)

  • 1 spray bottle or fine-neck watering can

  • Disinfected pruning shears (if roots or stems need to be cleaned)

Preparation:

  1. Cut the banana peel into small pieces and place it in a container with the liter of water.

  2. Let this mixture rest for 24 hours at room temperature, without direct exposure to the sun.

  3. If you want to enhance the mixture's antifungal properties, add a tablespoon of ground cinnamon and stir well.

  4. Strain the mixture and pour it into a spray bottle or watering can.

This “banana peel tea” is loaded with potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium, essential nutrients for strengthening roots, inducing flowering, and improving overall plant health.

How to use:

  • Apply the mixture once every 15 days directly onto the substrate, avoiding wetting the flowers.

  • You can also lightly spray the leaves (top and bottom) if the plant requires it, especially in dry climates.

Serving and Storage Tips:

  • Store the natural fertilizer in the refrigerator for up to 5 days if you don't use it all.

  • Be sure to shake the mixture well before each application.

  • Don't overfeed the plant: a two-weekly dose is more than enough to prevent excess salts in the substrate.
