There are many types of tuna sauce, depending on what you want to use it for. Here are some basic variations and how to use them:
Simple Mayonnaise Tuna Sauce:
Ingredients:
1 can drained canned tuna (in oil or brine)
2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
Salt, pepper to taste
(Optional: chopped onion, lemon juice, mustard, capers, parsley)

Preparation:
Fluff the tuna with a fork in a bowl.
Add the mayonnaise and other optional ingredients.
Mix thoroughly.
Season with salt and pepper.
Uses: For sandwiches, as a filling, as a dip for vegetables, or on toast.

Creamy tuna sauce for pasta:
Ingredients:
1 can drained canned tuna
1 onion, chopped
1-2 cloves crushed garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
250 ml cooking cream
Salt, pepper to taste
(Optional: tarragon, parsley, grated parmesan)

Preparation:
Simmer the onion in the olive oil until translucent.
Add the garlic and fry for a few seconds.
Add the tuna and mix.
Pour in the cream, season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
Finally, add the fresh herbs, if using.
Usage: Stirred with cooked pasta.
