1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
4 hamburger buns (split and toasted) or thick slices of Italian bread
1 cup pizza sauce (jarred or homemade)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings (optional): pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives, etc.
Fresh basil or oregano (optional for garnish)
