500g (1 lb) ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)

1 medium zucchini, grated and squeezed of excess water

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 egg

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp Italian seasoning

100g (about 3.5 oz) mozzarella or provolone, cut into thick sticks (for the gooey center)

Optional glaze:

2 tbsp ketchup or tomato sauce

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp honey or brown sugar
