Classic Cherry Pie

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a bowl, mix cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract.

Line pie dish with one crust and fill with cherry mixture. Dot with butter.

Top with second crust, crimp edges, and cut slits or make a lattice.

Brush with egg wash and bake for 45–55 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Cool before serving.
