Mix everything:
Insert the cut sponge pieces into the soil. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the sponges throughout the soil. For use in pots:
Add soil:
Place a layer of soil at the bottom of the pot.
Add a layer of your new mix:
Add a layer of potting soil and sponge to the first layer of potting soil.
Repeat this process as many times as necessary, alternating layers of potting soil and mix.
This process maximizes the benefits of the sponges in the soil by improving moisture retention and aeration, while providing a healthy environment for plant roots.
