Prepare the fries:
Peel the potatoes, cut them into fries, and soak them briefly in cold water. Then dry and set aside.
Prepare the beef:
Season the ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Take small portions, flatten them, fill them with some cheese, and roll them into "fry sticks" – about the size of thick fries.
Fry/deep-fry beef fries:
Fry the stuffed meat sticks in a little oil all over or gently deep-fry until cooked through and nicely browned on the outside.
Fry the fries:
Fry the prepared potato fries until golden brown and crispy. Season with salt.
Serve:
Serve beef fries with the real fries and top with melted cheese, BBQ sauce, jalapeños, or green onions.
🎉 Tip: For the ultimate cheese pull, you can also freeze cheese cubes and then roll them into the ground beef – this way, the cheese stays inside during cooking and won't immediately leak out!
