Divide the dough into approximately 8 equal portions.
Roll each portion out into a flat, round disc (approx. 15 cm in diameter), not too thin.
Deep-fry:
Heat oil in a deep pot or pan to approximately 180°C (it should be hot enough for a small piece of batter to immediately rise and bubble).
Carefully place the batter slices into the hot oil and fry for approximately 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serving suggestions:
Classic with honey, powdered sugar, or jam
As a base for Navajo tacos with beans, lettuce, cheese, and salsa
With savory toppings such as avocado, sour cream, or pulled chicken
